About Me

Butch currently works from his underground studio (think NORAD) in Colorado but is grateful for his time in Los Angeles as a full time actor. When he and his wife Betty started having kids in LA, the wide open spaces of Colorado were calling and he hasn't looked back since.


While in LA, Butch and his brother Ben appeared in more than a dozen movies, often together. You see, they started out young in West Texas singing and entertaining as kids. Eventually they started writing songs and performing at county and state fairs and opening for major acts like Toby Keith, Merle Haggard, Don Williams, Glen Campbell and George Jones to mention a few. The McCain Brothers have recorded 4 CD's (ITunes and CD Baby) and have performed numerous times on national TV shows like Hee-Haw and Nashville Now (GAC).

The McCain Brothers hosted a TV show in Oklahoma City for 12 years making the occasional appearance on Network Soap Operas (General Hospital, All My Children and Loving) and National Morning Shows. Butch even did the weather for Good Morning America.


After their time in OKC the brothers loaded up the truck and moved out west to Beverly Hills. Butch and his brother Ben quickly found work in films, TV shows and commercials. Butch has performed skits for numerous TV shows including several appearances on The Tonight Show and The Keenan Ivory Wayans Show; other shows include: In the House, Martial Law, Nickelodeon’s All That and Keenan and Kel. Butch has been featured in national commercials, including a Super Bowl commercial for Pepsi where he played a sportscaster. The commercial features NASCAR racer Jeff Gordon. In the commercial Butch says, "Stick a fork in Gordon – he’s done".

Butch and his brother have an entertainment company based in Los Angeles. Their movie "Killer Tumbleweeds" is currently available at And yes, Butch did the voice over for the movie trailer. They currently have two movies in production.
